Cambodia lost an entire generation of intellectuals in the Pol Pot period. The country urgently needs the next generation of leaders that will take the country forward. I am striving for the education of young talents in my capacity as Chancellor of the University of Cambodia . It is my dearest wish that among the graduates of FLOW there will be many future leaders who will take Cambodia and the Asian region into further prosperity.

             Recently, Ms Phaly asked for further assistances for the institution, now renamed "Future Light Orphanage of Worldmate". I have already pledged as much assistance

as possible. However, what each individual can do is very limited. It is my fervent wish that the children and the driving force of FLOW, Ms Phaly, will continue to be supported further by many people from all walks of life.

      My first encounter with FLOW goes back ten years ago. I visited Cambodia frequently during the year of 1996 because the establishment of the 24-hour Emergency Hospital, the Sihanouk Hospital, was planned for December 1996.

       There, I received a request for assistance for the Future Light Orphanage. When I visited FLOW, I was deeply impressed by the beautiful personality of Ms Phaly, bright sparkles in the children's eyes, and the cheerful atmosphere despite their bleak circumstances. I didn't hesitate a second before deciding to support FLOW. Soon, many people in Japan began to respond to my exhortation to give assistance. Many became foster parents of the children and are still enjoying warm relationships.
